my car burning out

my 66 mustang burning out. and i need a V8 WHY????
i get along fine with my T-5 equipped 6 cylinder ;)
results of hard work with my dad. i have spent 4 years of my life building this car up, and its now my daily driver :)
lotta thanks to my dad for putting up with me and going through 3 months of work just to make that 5 speed fit. lol

cool dude, could you make a video of the engine and what it sounds like in idle, cause i have a 1966 fastback 200ci 4speed manual, and it just sounds awfull and drives like a bitch, kinda sounds like an old vw, at first i thought it was the carburetor but it's fine, so now i think it's the ignition, so now i got to change spark plugs and wires, distributor cap,rotor, condenser, points. Hope that will help...

probably idled to high. i have dual exausts. but what really makes that engine sound right is split manifold headers (dual exhaust headers).

also, run it out of gas then fill up with 93. then advance your timing on the distributor till it runs smooth again. you'll get more power...

it runs great now, yeah i've been thinking about the dual exhaust headers, and i've bought a holley 1940 carburator but need an adaptor for it and i hope i'm not gonna get any hood clearance problems, i'm gonna be restoring it my way pretty soon but first i'm getting all the parts to know what the car is gonna cost me in the end, i payed about $14500 for it, and needs re-restoring
