It is larger if you rotate the screen. I am able to type on it vertical or sideways. It took me a few tries to get the hang of the key selection, but its a breeze. If I had time to wait for a gadget, I'd make good use of it by learning how to type. Just a tip.

that sucks you cant turn the zune lenghthwise and the keyboard and iternet will turn aswell like the ipodtouch idk...it would be hard to switch from an ipod user to this zune hd...its good in price though!!!!!!!! just bet apple has something up there sleeves for the next ipod touch gen.

It does turn & type sideways. very smoothly. Apple had their chance last week for their new iPods launch, and they went for.... a nano with video. Wow. Just like my old Samsung phone has had for 3+ years. Dazzling.
