@brianmoc I usually fish at ocean city NJ or atlantic city NJ, and so your saying that around december-ish pencil poppers would be the most versatile bait for stripers?

@brianmoc i either go to ocean city NJ, or atlantic city NJ and you said that pencil poppers are the best down here?

Thanks guys, although I wasn't there I was at peace just watching. Just me and the stripers with nothing eles on my mind. What a scene of beauty. This would and I know would calm my soul. You're right, lazy people will never have this much fun.

Very nice vid, so if i go fishing in NJ during saying december for stripers and water isn't calm but not too rough just moderate. What type of plug or artificial bait should i use?

@rickshaw711 NJ has some awesome lure makers so you have lot to pick from. Up here is yellow and white penceil popper but you could get a big dmag down there. Guys down there use a lot of darts in green and silver and black. there are also swimmers from guys like big rock. However, i would always have two pencil poppers and on dart. what part of NJ?

have a Q.
how often do you buy a new reel? LOL
I guess every 3-4 trips? LOL again

@VIDEOZAL Its a Van Staal sealed reel, good for about 1 year (220 days in a season) doing what you see in these videos. At years end you send it back to the company for repair & cleaning; cost 55$+shipping. All reels have its braking point. A Van Staal reel could last about 100 days doing everything you see here. Nevertheless, I catch big fish with mine so they brake a little faster & cost more to repair; that’s what Van Staal tells me. LOL. This reel is on its last legs & one is out for repair!
