Bose L1 portable line array systems make it easy to get exceptional amplified tone from any voice or instrument. Their wide, uniform sound coverage helps them fill the venue with sound in a way no ordinary speaker can.
Ok, it's an awesome LIMITED product. You make the L1, Model II, Rev. 3 (get it? ...1,2,3) by diving it so you have have 5, 7 or even 9 channel sound WITHOUT buying 9 L1's then you have the ULTIMATE solution for just about 100% of the audio needs out there.
The sheer simplicity of this system, combined with outstanding sound quality is what drew me to it. Most working musicians are performing in small to medium sized venues, and this is where the L1 stands out. The great thing is that in larger venues, I can use the same setup on each of my L1's and run a line out from the Tonematch Engine to the front of the house, effectively using the L1's as stage monitors. The FOH has to do very little.. just manage volume.
@falshami well again , .. try using EVEN 4 L1's A SIDE on a BIG event , people would jus talk over them. compare it to any sound system availble for big crouds these days.. the sheer power of those system simple blows the small speakers of the Bose system away.
@dorplein62 a little foolish , its backwards thinking, if we had the same mentality with everything we built then our current means of doing anything would be much more inefficient.
@dorplein62 if they did then they wouldnt continue to use the same design in every speaker box when it came to loud speakers, look at jbl eons, cerwin vegas, klipsch loud speakers, they are all the same a single large woofer maybe a horn tweeter designed to spread sound in a cone.& by the way i was comparing old v8s to new v6s.a newer v6 will womp on an old v8,same with speakers, you dont need pure wattage for power, theres alot more to it then just watts.and to assume power is always the answer is
@falshami lol. like other manufacturers dont keep physics and spreading of sound in mind when they design their speakers ?
thereby a V8 can pull ALOT more weight than a V6 would. same for speakers ; more power = more sound at a larger distance , while in most cases preserving the sound quality and presence aswell.
guess why they dont use L1's at big festivals ? they just wont cut it.
@dorplein62 haha simple , just how the explained it man, its sheer physics . the fact that the speakers are placed the way they are sends out the sound in a spread out fashion. the sub is of great quality also , the box they use is very good, (i got to study it ) and the part about power is simple. you dont need alot of power tog et loud sound. thats like saying you always need inefficient ways to get alot. look at engines. before to get v8 power you need a v8, now a v6 can do the same exact job

Bose pro is not that bad for tame stuff. Ha, but its hard to beat a full range line array with kilowatts of push.
