I have found so may of Dr.Rutledge's videos with the same BS. The lapband didn't fail these ladies they fail the lapband. I have lost over 100lbs with the lapband. I diet and eat right as well as exercise. It's not an easy fix. I have no problem with any surgery choice that one makes to better there life however I do have a problem with giving mis-information to people seeking WL assitance. If your throwing up your band is to tight have it adjusted until it's right.

Well milk shakes are high in fat, ice cream is. I gained 70 pounds with my daughter I was 180 when i got pregnant. I was a size 22 in December 2009 I am now a size 15/14 walking everyday for two hours. Cut the fat 60% out of my diet. So did my husband, he is down from a 48 to a 44 I want to get down to a size 12 the size I was when i got married. I am avoiding doing surgery as much as possible.

i can NOT dial in on this lap band even after 5 wks post op .! uuuugh ! I have a pinching , burning , stabbing pain in my port area . Its getting to the point i want it out . i cant live like this . i cant even wear my pants around my waist cause it irritates the port and skin ! This pain brings me to tears and i dont know what im doing wrong ! The port feels like it ripping from my muscle along with scar tissue ripping from the port. i havent found anyone with same prob.? Im a FREAK !

I have had the lapband over a year and have only lost 25 pounds! I do not care what you say it is not me. My boyfriend has actually said he does not know how I can be overweight b/c he sees what I consume. I am very sensitive to the fills and have had to have at least 3 taken out. At one point they took all fluid out and made me start over, and I pay cash for my fills. I would give anything to me of a normal weight, I am too young to be this way!

It is a failure. I have followed the diets to a T! I had my surgery in Mexico, I paid cash. I am crying daily about my no weight loss. I cannot have meals w/my family without throwing up. My daughter commented to a family member the I made her feel bad because she can eat and I cannot. Do you know how much that hurts! I have no insurance which is why I went to Mexico and would do almost anything to have it taken out and another surgery done! I feel like such a failure!

I have a Lap Band ofr 5 months and I have lost 40 pound so almost 8 pound per month. sometimes im happy sometimes unhappy. the only thing im unhappy i throw up almost every day and im afraid cuz i want to keep my band. i love it because thats the only thing that makes me to lose weight and feel healty although sometimes i fell non healty with band because im always afraid to go to restaurants with my friends cuz im afraid im gonna throw up. but anyways i love my band.
