Tango from Italy: Daniele Serra - Just A Gigolo, 1929

Here's all what can be written so far: Daniele Serra was born in Italia or in Spain (on some labels his name is Daniel, without „e" in the end, suggesting, he could be of a Spanish origin). He recorded a lot of sides since about 1911 for Pathé, La Fonografia Nazionale and La Voce del Padrone. He died in New York City around 1979.

This recording is a copy from the CD. The original was made almost 100% sure for La Voce del Padrone (Italia HMV, where Daniele Serra was recording most of his sides in that time). The song „Gigolo" is the Italian hit-tango composed in 1929 by Leonello Casucci (b. 1885 - d. 1975) and known in the world as „Just A Gigolo", „Schöner Gigolo", „C'est mon gigolo", or „Mały gigolo" in Polish.
