i love how everyone thinks hes gay like all u guys are saying and everyone thinks hes biased, well listen to any other teams play by play announcer and listen to when the opponent facing their team is putting tremendous pressure on and end up scoring and see how they react, then listen to Rick Jeanneret in the same situation and tell me he is biased, then tell me how u cannot get more into the game listening to this guy...hes amazing and if u think not ur not a true fan!

I agree, the Buffalo play-by-play guy is really annoying. I can't remember his name, but I instantly turn the channel when I hear his voice on MSG. Eh. Go Rangers!

Anyone who thinks Rick Jeanneret is gay is not a fan of hockey. Definately in the top 3 for best hockey announcer of all time. The guy has his own DVD, CD, and Top 10 on Sportscenter.
Notice how he's one of the few announcers in hockey or any sport that follows the play this well. His voice gets stronger and more intense as the play gets more intense and the sabres get closer to scoring.
Rick will be in the Hockey Hall of Fame with Bob Cole and co. soon enough.

are you kidding me?? rick jeanerette is the most amazing play by play man for any sport...he brings so much more excitement to the game(not that it isnt amazing without him) but no other announcer has that much passion for a team
