You were slipping worse then Tornado was there!! Great video though. As a lot of people have said, You need to hear the sound of slipping to make it sound good. It's kind of like the engine is saying 'I don't care how many coaches there are i can pull them!!' lol She's coming to Plymouth in a double header with Duke Of Glouchester on 10/03/12 pulling The Cathedrals Express. Paddington - Plymouth and back.D of G Will be Leading as 60163 is meeting up with her at Taunton
@justandy333 The only damage that is done is wearing of the tires and maybe a little stress on the motion but bare in mind that the wheels have to be going faster than Tornado's max speed before serious damage is done... so anything above 110mph I guess. So answering your question would need a lot.
@justandy333 Brought under control quickly, as seen here, it does no harm. Out of control, like Blue Peter at Durham in 1994, can destroy the motion and bearings. I hope the lesson was learned back then and that never happens again.
I wonder how many violent wheelslips it would take to break Tornado? It slips on so many ocassions! It does make for good videos but id hate to see it knacker itself.
