the car sounds like a busted fart...

I did this a couple of weeks ago and paid $99 for the dvd. I'm still waiting for it. They told me it would be professionally produced. If mine is the same as that i will be disappointed and making a complaint. I thought you would hear the instructor talking to the driver and see the speedo.

You're telling me what? Read my comments properly - Despite what they say about driving as hard as you want, the reality of it is that, they won't let you.
As for killing myself, maybe you should do abit of homework. I currently do a 1:48 flat @ Eastern Creek (Full track - official on Natsoft) in an NA Honda Civic street registered car.
I did say that this is good for someone who doesn't know anything about racing, but for others, you'd be better off going on a track day.

awesome mate, i have mine this weekend. Been waiting 3 months since my birthday and counting the days down!

No you can't.LOL. The "Instructor" demanded I brake each time for turn 1, and this was ruining my balancing of the car for my style.
The car was so underpowered and the electronics cutting in, it just dulls any drive out of the corner, and rather than drifting onto the line, I had to steer the car to keep the line. SLOW!
This good for someone who doesn't know anything about "racing", but for others, take your money and sign up to a proper driver training day. It'll be much more fun.

Hey man that looks heaps cool, im going on tuesday 11th lol trying to study the track. looks like it went a bit smoother when you had a car infront of you, sets the pace and you know where to go at what speed. and it semi like a race :) Are the gears really that hard to change or you not use to maneul cars?

Yes you are correct.
Also, I hadn't driven a manual for over 12 months. The instructor also said that the car I was driving had a really thin H so was harder to get from 4th to 5th down the straight. I kept putting it in reverse.
Was great fun though. Enjoy!
