@carcosa hehehe, yes its acommon things that happen, well for all disbelievers the basic concept here called `dodge and hit` concept, yes it is the same concept that we find in boxing/kickboxing(see how the master dodge the attacks and deliver hits?), the differents are in the excecutions, in silat we used alot of angles and altitudes.

From the moves I can tell this is Sumatran/Minang Silat. Fast, Intense, yet Beautyful. I Love Silat from Sumatra and West Java, they are magnificent.

if you paying attention a little bit youll see most of his techs arent including knife disarming, the same principle that an expert of knife fighting will say: `do not do the knife disarm!

What people don't understand when they see demonstrations is that the techniques have been slowed down in order to see them. In a real fight these same techniques that look pretty become fast and brutal with reckless abandon.

How would you go about grouding someone and controlling the knife at the same time? Or attacking with kicks whilst also preventing them from slashing your legs?
