The Stingrays Go To The Faire:Knights Jousting Part 1

Avast maties! Lil'Jack and Captain Stingray made their appearances at the Rogersville Shakespeare & Friends Reniessance Faire June 2, and we were fortunate enough to meet the Queen, several Knights of the Round Table, some interesting gypsies, trolls, wizards, fairies, wenches, celtic bagpipers, Scotch and Irish clansmen, folk singers, musketeers, Royal clergy, and a few scattered pirates. I was the only female PIRATE (not wench, there IS a difference, I'm not a wench!) and only female captain as well in attendance for day one, but hopefully day two will bring out a few more like myself. Matt was the only Jack Sparrow to be seen, and was a big hit with the crowds, having posed for several pictures, ooh'ed and ahh'ed at, and called by Jack name to give compliments and ask how old he was. Although be it very hot and muggy, we were both in full dress and weaponry for this occasion, and it was the first Ren Faire for the both of us. I hope to go to another one very soon!
