@TIMOTHYSAARINEN To make a Filtertron fit, you're going to have to severely route out the body of the guitar. The look.......the sound......the value....all shot.
Hilotrons rule in Tennessean, check out Beatles, Stones, Byrds, and many others. Plus it's all in the setup as well. I've had a Ric bass since new in '84...only this year finally found the strings to give me the sound I've been searching for, for decades, plus a proper setup did wonders.
Filters? Buy a guit with Filters. Easy done.

I've got a 1964 Tennessean. Deep burgundy stain. I love it to death, but I wish it had Filtertrons instead of Hilotrons. Any body know if I could put Filtertrons in it without altering the body? At least in the bridge position?
Cool, we do like the Gretsch's.
