This is way cool! Probably one of the best interviews with Jerry! It's kinda funny to hear Jerry do so many interviews once McNally took over management in 82 or so. It's so cool to hear Jerry talk about the X-factor; subliminal communication with the audience.

ET phone Jerry..

@owenseightball He was a big smoker.

I worked at that radio station for 7-8 years. Transition time for Sonoma County (demographics, size) and the station was a real center of activity for music, (counter)culture & communication, in a beautiful alliance with record stores that stocked the records we played, and clubs (Inn of the Beginning/Cotati Cabaret) that booked those artists. Owners and airstaff were conscious of that. KVRE was the last of a breed, really; gathering place, signpost, common ground. It was more than music.

Why thank you for since I wrote this, it has been on my mind

I use to have an interview recorded on an 8 TRACK of
Jerry, Bobby, Brent and WNEW DJ Scott Muni playing poker on the air.
It was incredibly funny. It was from 1970 or 80

It sound like Jerry has a cold

almost sounds like terry-gross
I was at that show and Jerry was really late that night, He rocked it but it almost 11 P.M, before he graced us with his music. This was a great era for Jerry's music. I really miss K.V.R.E. radio. What were the call numbers? 107.9?? For some reason, I remember 7's and 9's but I could be way off too. No radio station has come close to the quality and knowledge of music since they stopped airing in Sonoma County.

@longlivejerryg As you can see from the comments, a lot of people can see it.
Youtube has recently been wonky with the playback, I've been having issues too playing certain videos.
Try hitting HQ (if you're in HQ mode it will take you out, and vice versa). I'm also told you can append &fmt=5 or &fmt=15 to the URL. One of these things should work.

Hey David,
Thank you for taking time to post this insightful interview. Loved it. I'm from San Mateo and '82 was the year I got into the dead and JGB. Post more if you have it.
