davey is one the most influential folk music guitarists.....and for the matter of fact many rock guitarists have also been inspired by him.....jimmy page made white summer using davey's famous DADGAD guitar tunning in anji......such artists should be appreciated...... ithink commercial success is no way an indiactor how good an artist is......and davey is certainly one of them

Loved the music, read all the comments...
Nobody recognizes this as "All Blues" a composition from the Miles Davis LP, "Kinda Blue?"
Really?

Lovely story. Very much the man I knew in the late 70s early 80s. He could do so many things and would have been much more commercially successful if he'd stuck to just one or two lines. He wanted to play everything.

2:01 and other parts remind me of the beatles song with the lyrics "judge columbo do..." possible inspiration?

It's available on the c-d release of Folk, Blues & Beyond with 5 other bonus tracks. I also recommend getting the c-d release of The Guitar Player (the c-d is called The Guitar Player Plus) which has live bonus tracks.

I first heard the Renbourne and Jansh duets. had no idea tha they were so derivative. Davy did most things first

Indeed. They both looked up to him. It's too bad there aren't that many acoustic duets with Davey. This is the only one I know of. I heard this one story about Davey getting them to smoke hashish and play guitar in someones loft. Bert put his guitar down first, next was Renbourn, and of course, the guitar never left Davey's hands.
