  • I have the same new 3 in 1 bottle that I bought at Lowes and i don't know how to open it.

  • @Daconthocon78 take the cap off and you have to cut a little bit of the end off but not too much so the cap stays on

  • @imthepatton Thankyou for explaining me.

  • @Daconthocon78 no problem

  • I have and use the old metal version of the 3 in 1 motor oil and it works great.

  • @locohog91 I had no luck using "household oil", motor oil, or grease; it always gummed up after a few weeks. Then I tried adding graphite (for locks) to the oil and it typically lasted 3-5 years. The conductive graphite should be kept away from the motor coils, though. I'm wondering what they added to that "fan oil" to make it hold up better and whether it will last as long as the graphite-oil mix.

  • Sometimes I use Singer sewing machine oil for oiling my fans

  • I got the blue can of oil today. This stuff works great. :)

  • dont use the red can it gums up the motors

  • Same stuff I use. It is great!
