So many of these comments show that people don't even understand the big picture here. The numbers do not even have to represent only PHYSICAL attractiveness. You can pretend the number signifies an overall attractiveness level (taking into account things about your potential mate like intelligence, emotional capabilities/connection, social status, financial security, etc.) if you want. All this video shows is that people will try to get the best mate that they can...well, duh.

These numbers really mean nothing, the participants are not ranked 1-10 based on their attractiveness, their social status, their economy, their masculinity or femininity, they are just assigned random numbers. It shows that people will try to take the mate with the highest number, even if that number is completely insignificant.
