  • @Luggerful thanks man. :) but i disagree on the ATG thing.. theese are far too shallow.. :P This was at a time when I rarely did squats.. Now, I have. My 1RM raw is 210 kg and with full gear 275 kg.. I'm aiming for a 230 raw and a 300 with full gear during the year.. Cheers!

  • Yeah I guess you're right about the ATG :- ) I'm interested in competing but have never worn a squat suit/bench shirt. I had no idea you could lift so much more with gear! I wish you the best of luck.... I'm going to attempt 180kg (400lbs) tomorrow.. raw ofc, but probably as a box squat :- (.

  • If you are serious about competing (its a lot of fun!), then I advise you to check out a local powerlifting-club near you. Search for Great Britain powerlifting federation (GBPF) - dopingfree PL and uk powerlifting clubs. It's advisable to have a lot of knowledgeable individuals around when you try out/compete in gear.. The gear does not bless everyone equally though, I don't get enough out of my bench shirt atm.. :P

  • It's called a monolift, used in the "pro" powerlifting federations. It's not really used this way, an assistant usually handles the mechanism that lets the arm swing free from the barbell, thus eliminating the need to walk out of the rack with a loaded barbell on your back.

  • fo' sure, when I started the gym had an instructor that liked metal, but now they are just putting radio with reggaeton hits of the moment and other random fag music

  • body building is for fags anyways. looking strong by applying lotions and tanning is plain corny. i started doing squats recently for basketball and vertical and see that i have to eat lots to gain strength and all the millk and cereal and rice may make abs go away temporarily but im lot stronger and jump higher.

    and realize this dude is not fat, being fat is different from being big. fat cant punch but i bet no wimpy pro body builder would confront a pro powerlifter
