I completed this short film for a midterm in one of my ethnic study courses. The class, Asians in America is instructed by Professor Grace Yoo. The purpose of my film was to give a quick glimpse into Filipino history and culture through an interview with Michael Dalupo. Mr. Dalupo is an up and coming entrepreneur and is the current CEO of Know Your Roots Apparel and JJ Clothing which is located in the Great Mall in Milipitas, CA.

  • @FLpolo What about it?

  • @mjohanss1975 salamat in filipino means thank you and kapatid means brother

  • @FLpolo Negritas Filipinas. That should be on the T-shirt.

  • @jdocena im just saying, shouldnt knowing your roots include the people you descended from, your ancestors?

  • @geocruzer What does kapatid mean? I assume Salamat is the same as the Indonesian word Selamat (Meaning safety and used as in Selamat Datang or Welcome) but kapatid doesn't sound similar to any Indo word I know :)
