#N8 - Macro World 'The Human Body'

Nokia N8 is powerful device and I have tested it up to its limit. Filming macro video with mobile devices is always a tough task, specially when you don't have the professorial arrangements. Well I tired my best of the best to film this video without any help from volunteers. Yes you are correct - The whole macro shots are of my body (Except the child, obviously).

Now I am sure you are thinking HOW ?, Well there is two sections in this video which requires maximum efforts.

1- The Sweating Finger Shot :- The video shows the finger in which the sweating comes out of the sweat pores. This shot was Extremely difficult. I have to shot in direct sun light lot of times for about 2 days to get this clear result.

2- The Eye Shot :- This shot is Extremely difficult and painful. I have to take the shot in front of mirror. Stabilizing the eye movement is a tough task for me where the N8 camera lens attachment in nearly touching my eye.

did you use the old DVD drive lens for this video? or you used another type of lens?

@s60betalabs I have my N8 with a DVD drive lens now. But I don't have the same effect...strange

It seems mine is macro while yours is ULTRA-macro...

@chisinchai You have to set the lens at the center of the camera, Since N8 has wide camera lens its always difficult to set the lens in center. And yes you can use the zoom fiction too!

@s60betalabs i double checked and I used the zoom function.

I also tried to switch the camera mode to "macro" but it's the same.

To get focus the lens is 1cm away from my finger tip.

Maybe your DVD lens is different from mine..

@chisinchai It may be possible - Use CD Lens.

Note - Don't use the macro mode, it doesn't work with DVD/CD lens.

Great shot! My initial search for a close-up image of sweat emerging from pores yielded a fetish video that had to do with stinky feet worship. LOL.

Wow, that's unbelievable... I'm beginning to think that the N8 has a Microscope too, what a device!!! That looks like hard work... I hope you get recognized for your hard work.. The N8 is powerful indeed, I'm getting mine soon and I can't wait to try out my own macro shots. I hope you win, you deserve it. Cute baby too lol... Cheers...
