The gameplay is like a mix between Kingdom Hearts gameplay and normal Final Fantasy gameplay. You have to keep pressing X to attack but it's still kinda turn based. There's dodging and blocking moves available as well. I like this gameplay because it's really fun and more action-y than all the other FF games. If you like kingdom hearts you'll probably like this too.

the game play is good, but if you want to play it again and again, you can't skip the cut scenes so you have to keep waiting, which puts you off...

Hmmm, I'm thinking about getting a PSP and I've heard this game isn't very good gameplay wise. The story and cinematics seem to be top notch, but how is the gameplay?
Do you think FF VII could fit on 1 PSP disc? It would be an incredible boost for PSP sales if they made a FF VII bundle.

it's not a demo. It's the full Japanese version which is out already.
