Atle, Congratulations on putting together a great video. I particularly like the fisheye lens effect on the wing changing the curve of the horizon, and the clouds and ocean background. Really nice! Very nice looking Emeraude and you obviously fly it very well. Inspirational! I am now re-energized to finish my CP-328. It's interesting how little elevator movement I notice during the manuevers - except for the initial stall and recovery. I see you even use carb heat during your spin! Joe
Thanks, I appreciate that you like the video. The Emeraude has a lot of elevator authority. You can see that in the deep stall. When the aircraft stalls the stick is only about 3/4 back. When the aircraft stalls I pull the stick back the last ¼ and the aircraft enters a deep stall. Keep on building :)
Absolutely wonderful, Atle. What a beautiful plane you have created! I am amazed at your prowess as a pilot and also with the capabilities of your Emeraude. In ten years, I have never attempted more than a very few of those maneuvers. Are your gyros aerobatic? I will be watching this video over and over. I would love to see more from the pilot's perspective.
My only Gyro is an ADI with solid state technology and a mechanical display made by Trutrakap. Acording to the producer The gyro is "fully aerobatic". The ADI also have an internal GPS and is designed to get you out of trouble if trapped in bad weather. In Norway we are for the moment not allowed to fly IFR or at night with a hombuild (Experimental) aircraft.
I will produce some more film taken in the cabin with the pilots perspective.
