  • Just about to get a 1997 grand cherokee 5.2l V8 Laredo. How long will they last. It has currently 84,000 miles on it and I use it for going around and some not so intense off road here and there for fun? Anything to look out for?

  • @aaabball415 Get yourself a cold air intake and if your have the time a decent exhaust to let her breath a little. You will notice improvements in performance from this setup. Your gas mileage will also benefit.

  • Driving 70 on the beach is just stupid.

  • @spencerbrown2007 lol, thanks for your input guy.

  • nice jeep...where on LI is that?

  • @canta27 North shore out east.

  • @aaaball415 I have a 96 Limited 5.2 with 169,000 miles she's about to hit 170,000. My only mods are K&N Cold Air Intake (i agree with nebulanbloom get one), a Flowmaster Super 44 muffler, a Race Ready Performance Electric Exhaust Cut-out, 180 Thermostat, and (not really mods but...) Green LEDs in the dash, doors, and ceiling lights. Mine runs tough as it did years ago. I'm taking her out for some Beach Off-roading soon. I Converted mine to Selec Trac for 2wd and Full-time 4wd. Love it Best Jeep!

  • Hey there. That's a nice grand you got. I have a 96 limited 5.2l myself. I own a shop and we convert the ZJs to Selec Trac if you are interested. I converted mine and 2wd is a blast. Saves so much gas too! Selec Trac offers 2wd, 4wd Part-Time, 4wd Full-Time, and 4Lo. If you're interested give me a call at my shop (631) 957-8464. We are located in Lindenhurst on the island and we can convert your ZJ for under $500 Check out mine if you want to see it. We did it for a guy too and he loves it!

  • @nebulanbloom

I will, however, say I like your Jeep.

Just please don't fuck it up driving 70 in sand :\
