SARAH PALIN: Now just the other day, our opponent, he brought up earmarks and considering his record of earmark spending, I was surprised that he would even raise the subject. I didn't think he'd want to go there. In just three years, our opponent requested nearly 1 billion dollars in earmarks -- that's about a million dollars for every working day. In our state, we reformed the abuses of earmarks while our opponent requested nearly a billion dollars in earmarks as a Senatorial privilege, I was vetoing half a billion as an executive responsibility. And now, they're going to hear more about this from our good Senator. I'm ready to help President John McCain end these corrupt practices once and for all.

Voter preferences in the race for president are unchanged from where they stood over the weekend. John McCain still edges out Barack Obama, 47% to 45%, according to Gallup Poll Daily tracking from Sept. 12-14.
