Suikoden 2 - Damage Limit Broken!!

Read the description before you accuse me of cheating!

This video was made to show people what happens when you manage to inflict more than 30,000 points of damage in one attack.

The actual attack that does this is Bob's first attack at 1:59, the one that says 7618 with green numbers. The damage overflows and causes the enemy to gain the 30,000+ damage as HP.

The first five turns are used to charge up the Exertion rune. Bob has Violence and Double-Strike runes. Servant Attack is used to trigger Violence.

In order to achieve that amount of damage, I raised Bob's ATK by hacking the game's save data. This was done by using a program called PSXGameEdit and then loading the hacked save from an emulator. While editing the data, I had some fun by adding various characters in the party and by giving them max stats and several runes.

First of all, I never said that this can only be done by hacking the game. It can also be done normally, but it would require many hours. So I found a guide called "Game Save Hacking Guide" in GameFAQs and hacked the game using PSXGameEdit (found using Google). According to the guide, I went through the series of bytes in the save and manually changed the ones I wanted to the attributes I wanted. This includes characters recruited, runes and equipment, statistics and many others.

You're not watching at the right thing. Didn't you notice that the spider in the middle didn't die when Bob attacked her ? ( at 1:59 )

He actually healed her, because damage were so high that they turned negative instead of positive. Resulting in the spider having a bunch of HP afterward.

@RENZDOGG what that means is if you gave Mcdohl the name Renz (the name i give to all my hero's on Suikoden 1 and 2) then his name will be Rcdohl. Cool Huh?

@iLLFlavoredOSM you can get Mcdohl on the Playstation version as well. it is not a cheat but more of a bonus. in the beginning before starting the game you are asked if you want to use game data from Suikoden. if you have all 108 stars of destiny (including the revived Gremio) you get to have an extra bonus as well. the bonus is Gremio alive on Suikoden II but you do not get to use Gremio in fights. However you do get to use Mcdohl and Mcdohl will have the first letter of his name prev data.

@999MightyMan Yes, you just need to know the right set ups with runes and stuff on your characters.

This trick is actually a glitch, that most people can't even understand, unless you really know what you're doing. You need the right runes, set ups, and characters to reach the right conditions. The damage actually doesn't get broken, it's the glitch in the game that makes the damage go but so far and then over heal your enemies.

i have a question, i know this isnt related to the video but how do you get memory cards for the psx emulator and where do u store it?

so u cant deal more then 30 000 damage? thats weird
