I bought my current bike from a LBS and was "fitted" and I have to say it's a gimmick to make people think they must buy their bikes locally (and pay full retail price). Some days I like a short saddle, other days I prefer a taller saddle. There is no magic spot.
I laugh every time I hear someone seriously discuss fitting a bike like they're pants and shirts. Get the right size bike for your height, ride the thing for 50 miles, then you will know where you need adjustments.
