However, the screaming majority of North Korea is compliant by nature to respect Kim Jung Il as the "Great Leader" who brought them nice stuff and whatnot. It's basic sociology. You've heard of defectors right? Yeah, that's just about every smart, free-thinking North Korean who doesn't get caught escaping. There aren't that many compared to the estimated population of North Korea. They are a compliant society.
