@1yrros Thanks for your questions. Actually, you could say those are potential reasons the hairdryer comes in handy, but in Ryan's case, he is using it to provide quick results. He typically works in acrylic (fast dry medium), and layers on glazes to create the most depth - traditionally, we were taught to use gouache & beer for the first coat and perhaps the 2nd passing, then oil, then oil, which takes too long to dry :) We can get a door done in 2 days, from prep to finish coat with water.

Is the hairdryer technique to help prevent sags/runs because you're working on a vertical surface, or...?
