Anyone else remember this?

  • Thanks BNA for posting this. Actually this was from January 31, 1990. I checked on Flyers History, and there were two 6-3 games with the Pens that year. This was the second. Plus all the college hoops are playing conference games.

  • You're correct, 1/31/90. Thanks.

  • nothing like being a kid again right?

  • Wow....flashbacks to childhood. I remember waking up every morning between 2nd and 9th grades (1989-1995) and watching this on SportsChannel, while eating a bowl of cereal before going to my bus stop to go to school. It was how I got all my scores and news updates--back before you could just flip on your computer and go to ESPN.com, or use your smartphone to get sports news/scores. Oh how times have changed.

  • What song is this on APM?

  • Old school memories indeed....plus kick ass ticker music lol

  • This looks like it could've been used in a videogame.

  • Man, Quebec was lousy that year. Hartford could have lost all the rest of their games and made the playoffs.

BTW, do you have the Sports Plus later that year when they announced that the San Jose team was going to be named the Sharks? I remember seeing that in the morning before school back then.

  • I remebered watching this at a bar about 16 years ago thanks for the memories!!!!

  • That was nice... But in my case back in 1990s Detroit -- the cable company though it was a good idea to give them their own channels to themselves -- thus allowing to stay 24/7!!! Also, I love the songs in this clip!!! Wish I knew who composed them and what are the names of the songs!!!

  • I'm starting to really love this stuff... Especially the music!!!

  • The first time I saw it was July, 1989. As seen by the clips Doza posted, SCNE would run regular programming beginning at 6 on weekdays. Usually the schedule card would go up after 5:30.

  • I remember it being on overnight. Basically there would be a replay of whatever (for example, hockey) game was on then this would come on anywhere between 2 to 4 in the morning. It was often still on when I came from school around 3 PM.
