After several failed attempts at killing this annoying boss(suitably named KRAID), I finally took him out using nothing but just bombs. The way it works is that when you get hit by your own bombs, you don't take any damage and you appear to go invulnerable for about a second after. So if you keeping dropping them at constant intervals and keep bouncing off them; you won't get hit by Kraid as much because you're invulnerable most of the time. That's SCUM BLAZING tactics right there ^_^

  • In this game he's small and hard... in Super Metroid, he's enormous and super easy.

  • Hahaha yeah so true. The Super missiles made that fight a breeze.

  • You missed an energy tank in the room where Kraid was.

It's underneath the door and you have to shoot somewhere above the lava to show it.

  • This game was an unmerciful pile of shit! [The game was wonderful.] It was not linear in the least bit. I hate having to check walls. But to each to his/her own I suppose.

  • Back in the days, despite going in chronological order, I didn't mind invading mini-boss hideout 2 first then 1, because Kraid was a MUCH tougher mini-boss to defeat than Ridley.

  • When you enter the room with Craid he is already in there doing his thing. There is no pre-fight sequence or pomp and circumstance. The NES is charming and hilarious and still holds up after all these years.

  • nice :D

  • @Supertails941 true, Metroid 3 was perfect for its atmosphere but a let down for its easiness compared to the 1st game. The world did not seem so dangerous in Metroid 3.

  • @ScumbagTimmy in the SNES there is a small kraid, but it is a false one and is in the front of the door of the big kraid.

  • man this game is old,wtf hes small in this game

  • @ScumbagTimmy Doing the reset glitch and using a charged ice/wave/plasma beam oh my my...

  • do you beat ridly of kraid first?

  • @Thehunterpwn Yes. Even though Zero Mission had a Map, I still got lost and confused at times.
