Barbara Green - Our Love Is No Secret Now

Barbara Green is best known for her hit 'Young Boy' from 1964 on Vivid Records, a subsidiary of Vee-Jay. 'Our Love Is No Secret Now' was recorded the same night at Universal Studios, Chicago. The backing is by the Dells, giving this a 'group' feel to it. This was the second record released by Barbara on Vivid, though even Barbara said she never knew it had been released. A very rare Renee label version is known to exist, though I've never seen one. Typical of the Pop/Soul sound coming from Chicago in the Mid 60's, this is a 'Bunky's Pick'. Enough said? Just a super Chicago Sound produced by Richard Parker, and performed superbly by a 13 year old Barbara Green. Incredible!
