Eli News Clips

Hilarious clips of Eli and Gabby in the news from 2002 after their first win at Abbott's. The first clip doesn't show how Eli took the mic right out of the reporter's hand and started talking. But his line" I was proud of myself" was sooo cute. A mother's dream! lol. You can also glimpse Emma standing on a chair in the audience. In the second clip, with newscaster Melissa Voetch, the kids were tethered to their mic cords and could barely move. The whole thing was painfully awkward! They also failed to play any of Eli's music. We were newbies - so when the said it was no big deal and Eli could just do a few pieces of his act - we should have known better. The impressive part is 5-year old Gabby who improvised after a slight hesitation when Voetch asked what she did. "I hand him his things." She really didn't, but that is what the news show wanted her to do. lol. Last clip with the symphony is the 2nd 1/2 of Eli's act. I love his facial expressions - especially how hard he makes it look producing those flowers! Hilarious! What a long way they have come! They were just about to enter Kindergarten that summer.

almost terrifyingly precocious, almost reminiscent of Stewie in FAMILY GUY. The performance clip for the appearing girl might have shown more of the stage; there didn't seem to be many convenient hiding places (which is pretty much the point!), and it would have been nice to see where she wasn't.
