I agree with Brandonch25. Problem with recodings is just that. Add that youtube runs everything thru a filter. I disagree about beginners using nice guitars though. Heck, if you're rolling in dough, why not? I'm an average player with, I've been told, very good relative pitch. I can strum or just play individual notes on a Martin or Taylor solid woods guitar vs my less expensive guitars, and the difference takes your breath away. A laminate can be loud, but you can only get a Rosewood tone from
@georyans its cuz you dont know how to play a martin they are not for beginers , second recording king and every other company wants tobe like martin ... if you get a custom shop d28 i cant think of a guitar that sounds better... but the biggest thing here you are listening to a recording .set beside someone with your recording king that is playing a martin like this and you will see .. there is realy no room to compare
nice playing nice guitar but I think my recording king RD 227 sounds as good for 1/10 the price. My main problem with martin in that there guitars are so expensive yet when I demo them I can not find two of the same model that even comes close in sound. Where my Larrivees sound better then martin and they are very consistant in sound
amazing guitar!!! a few days ago in Tokyo I've played a few against a HD35, D28 Marquis, HD28V and a Gibson J45 from 1950-51, all great instrument, but this D41 Special stood out as being the best sounding and more versatile. It will definitely be my next guitar next year ...

With all my respect that expensive guitar is out of tune.
