As several people have pointed out, THESE ARE NOT TANKS. They are Cats. Amongst many other things, the tracks are completely different.

@251rocker even in veitman they disposed of this kinda stuff. helicopters, tanks, cannons. the war was over or they had to much weight. helluva waste if u ask me.

I was told by my father was in charge of the Communications Station after the war (I was born there) He watched them push all of the extra tanks, tractor, trucks, jeeps, etc. into the ocean as it was cheaper then sending them back to the U.S. as they were not needed anymore by the Army anyway - and they had been sitting there just rusting away, but still usable.
