The same as my other t-rex test, but with a better textured dinosaur.

  • G'ood render, but what does the dinosaur 'alternate' with?

  • @EssieP It's an alternate version of an earlier FX test.

  • It's actually one of the best looking 3d animations I've seen that are inside the live action world.. and you're just doing this on your own?

If you can get some higher resolution textures on it, bump mapping, and some better shading, this would be really awesome looking. The animation of its legs moving forward seems a bit clunky, Jurassic Park 1 had the animation down pretty solid, if you want to use that as a reference

Just my bit of criticism (oh wait this video is 4 years old... oh well)

  • @Dimeinurear hey thanks for your comments. I made a newer version, check out my "new T Rex FX test" video if you have time. Cheers

  • I watch your second test, but this video was to me like "Now that is how it should be";)

  • Woww. That's really cool! With your talent I bet you could work on the new Jurassic Park movies. :D

  • @TheCaliber64 And it hunts by scent. Basically, start praying.

Seriously great work. Light-years ahead of the Sci-Fi Channel's not so special effects.

  • Stand absolutely still! It reacts to movement.
