The W4INF Ghetto Hackshop today plays with a blindingly bright 10w LED I just got!! The intent of this LED is to be used with an automotive warning light system with an amber lens. I got the LED off ebay from the seller 'luckzdl2008' for $20 and free shipping from China. I used am LM317 set to deliver 800ma of current though it will take 1Kma. A Picaxe was programmed to light some LEDs and I ran a logic level MOSFET off one of the LED's power to switch the 10w LED. The thing is so bright, it is blinding! They also make 15w and I think 20w LEDs but really, the 10w is all I need. I suspect a 20w could possibly be used as a headlight bulb. Thanks for viewing!
