This is our Family Umu in Cali. I was taught by my older brother Duncan Tuita'u. I had to improvise due to the only banana tree's being in the neighbors yard and nobody felt like getting shot...lol. Shovel's are not normally used, but you have to be careful you don't pick up any dirt when picking up the hot rocks. We didn't stuff the pig with anything but normally We would use Mango leaves or cabage. Pig was seasoned with salt, pepper, and Montreal Steak seasoning. Rocks are river rocks from a creek in San Bernadino, CA. Enjoy.
Love this :)
