At this point, she had been playing it for months, but when my student liked a piece, she would learn it very quickly. It was her first tremolo piece. She started playing when she was 5.
You must be a very good teacher too, to know your students so well. So now, there is no suspicion for someone's who's studied 8 years of guitar to play this well. It seems that she very well understands and likes Japanese music too. Japanese music is usually filled with that intense calamity and peacefulness, unlike any other. However, keep up her passion for the guitar, she's going to become a legend when she grows up.
It is interesting that this piece finally persuaded her to learn tremolo, and another Japanese piece, "Moonlight in the Castle Ruins" was the first piece that showed her that playing slowly was an important part of her playing. She was 11 then. She is now off to college and studying music there. I will see her over the Dec. break.
She must have spent months on this piece.
