how'd you clear out the noise at night???

@fucktheili
The night footage was shot on a 1.4 50mm lens, wide open at 1.4, i don't remember the ISo settings but probably at around 500 - 800? anything over that ISO is going to cause extreme noise in your picture. Shoot on a fast lens like a 1.2, 1.4, 2.8 and your night footage will be much better looking.

Were you doing focus pulls while the camera was on the steadicam? How did you do it without bumping the steadicam off balance, since it's so sensitive to any little touch?

@rspaulding
Hey,
Nearly everything in this video is just maintaining distance to subject so no pulls needed. There was one shot on the roof at the end I had to pull touching the rig but I hid it in the pan over to the buildings, if you look closely you can see the rig is being touched.

@christopherfilms2009 and in the staircase just before that. Wouldnt it be possible to use a follow focus + extension (those cable like thingies that allows rotating the follow focus from a small distance) or if the money and technology allows it of course a wireless follow focus is the best solution. Unless the rotation kicks off the balance of the steadycam.

@Pestilence86 Hello,
The only professional solution is to run a remote follow focus, the follow focus + extension or called "Whip" will for sure mess with the balance having it hang off the side and any time it is touched the camera will bump. Remeber that steadicams work on balance and smoothness of the operator, they're not easy to operate well and it takes time and practice.
