Chicago Old Irving Gangs: Lords of Kilbourn by M. Scott

Snapshops taken (early seventies until late eighties) prior to and during the time of the novel "Lords of Kilbourn" by M. Scott. The Kilbourn Park Gaylord Nation was responsible for starting most of the Black and Blue sections throughout the North Side of Chicago.

The KPGL - or Kilbourn Gaylords - were the first startup set after Grand and Noble and School and Cicero sets. The Old Irving neighborhood is in the Carl A. Schurz High School area where the 1980's film "Bad Boys" with Sean Penn was filmed. At the time of the film, the Kilbourn Gaylords were highly active in the area.

Today, Kilbourn Park is fast becoming gentrified and is an up and coming neighborhood.
