AND PARTY EVERY DAY is the very first full-length book about the infamous 1970s record label and its enigmatic founder Neil Bogart. In a blizzard of wild parties, spending, and fearless ambition, Casablanca Records launched the careers of KISS, Donna Summer, Parliament Funkadelic, Angel, the Village People, and single-handedly created the disco movement. Add an Academy Award-winning film division with product like The Deep, Midnight Express, Foxes, and The Hollywood Knights and you begin to understand why Casablanca became the hottest record label of the 1970s. • The real KISS was 1974-1977 Give me one song of of Sonic Boom that compares to the likes of Detroit Rock City, Cold Gin, She, Firehouse, Shout it out loud, Dr. Love, God of thunder, Parasite, Black diamond, I want you, Love Gun, I stole your love and Rocket ride just to name a few. The 2010 KISS is a TRIBUTE BAND.

  • In 1975, Zeppelin was the biggest band in the world. Why, I don't know. Plant just stood there yelping like a dying cat and Page missed more licks than Jenna Jameson. Can you imagine going to a Zeppelin show and then this KISS show the next month? Can you imagine how much BETTER KISS was at this point? When Zeppelin finally found out about KISS, they must've shit their British knickers...

  • This is AWESOME footage!!!!! DAMN I could watch 40 straight hours of this!! Thanks!! EXCELLENT POST!!!!

  • @sabbath7 I love ALL of the songs you listed, but I (subjectively) prefer the song "Creatures of the Night" over all of them. "Forever" was an absolutely fantastic song and a bigger chart success than any that you named. But I hate pitting Kiss songs against Kiss songs in this way, because I love KISS '74 through today.

  • @HarpoSpoke I think it has something to do with the fact that many rock fans (myself included) are musicians themselves. We tend to "measure" our proficiancy against our influences. Ace Frehley inspired me to pick up a guitar. After a while, I realized that Kiss' playing was fairly rudimentary and I moved on to more challenging material. That didn't detract from my love for KISS. You can love 'em or hate 'em but you can't IGNORE 'em!

  • Classic footage.....Thank you for sharing!

  • Any chance of this whole concert becoming available?

  • Paul forgot the third verse @ 1: 26 - he should have sang "she'll let you walk the street beside her'

  • @IBZ1965 Agreed. Not sure why "musicianship" is suddenly so important when the subject of the conversation is KISS. No other famous band gets that treatment. Chet Atkins and his band were far better musicians than the Stones or the Who in the 60s...but which one do you want to see perform?

Do the Ramones get put down for not being virtuoso musicians? The Beatles? Elvis? Chuck Berry?

KISS wrote great rock songs and were the best live band around. Some critics are looking for flaws.

  • @sabbath7 Well said my friend.

  • love zepplin but comon, they got airplay, were darlings of media etc.kiss wasnt, especially early on"Black sheep"if you will.even today.the critics hated them,in other words their climb to the top was way harder.when they got there, not even the mighty zep could match them, and sabbath towards the end of the decade were getting blown off the stage by van halen.

  • This is the best live concert film footage of Kiss (pre Alive album).
