  • just more Gov't intrusion on private property rights. Unions are akin to Home Owner Associations. U can't buy a house and live there if it is a HOA subdivison and u don't want to join the HOA. Then u have to get permission from the HOA to make changes. And if there is ever a local ordinance that conflicts with HOA policies.....better have deep pockets and be ready for lawsuits

  • Secret Ballot in name only.

  • the EFCA has been revised since this speech. What the Act would eliminate is the bullying and harassment of employers toward employees in the time period between the check card signing and the NLRB sanctioned election. Randy Johnson is just repeating the talk of a corporate run executive branch which not only caused economic turmoil twice thus killing jobs, but was never pro-labor or working class. It is apparent now that that administration was one of the biggest failures in history.

  • when has that recently happened?

  • Where in the hell did you draw your conclusions from?

  • You're not answering my questions. I do understand the argument for unions, but there are no unions in the original sense of labor unions. Unions just more corporations, that have lobbied for laws to protect their status and are insidious enough to think they can compel non-members to pay for them.

And they've convinced enough people that they are fighting for social justice, that people overlook that most of their dues go to pay for organized crime and political campaigns (same thing).

  • The union busters try to paint the union folks as thugs and using strong arm tactics. Actually it was the companies hiring the Pinkertons, goon squads, and police to come in and break legs infinitely more often. That's how US corporations maintain there workforces in third world countries, buy off the police, hire goon squads, and kill people. People call us wanting a union, we don't have to go looking for them so it doesn't take cooercion on our side.

  • So what's the difference if it's coercion by an employer, or by a union?

  • Oh.the Chamber of Commerce. The same organization that is against any reference to Buy American and wants to increase the use of the H-1B visa. What is sickening is the U.S. on the beginning of Chamber of Commerce. This organization disgusts me. Its anti-American and big business. Ill never listen to anything that is tied to this joke of an organization. Pass the EFCA!

  • Yeah, 'cause unions do us so much good nowadays.... like making it impossible to fire teachers who sexually harrass their students, or by bankrupting the american automotive industry because they spend billions of dollars on healthcare.. to pay for their employees viagra. That is just so right and so necessary.
