A Jonas Brothers Love Story chapter 16

I hope Aly gets put in my classes! I would have more time to get to know her.
-End Nick's POV-

-Regina's POV-
Nick helped Aly out of the car, and then ignored me. I almost laughed out loud. She didn't really seem to notice though.
Aly: Thanks.
Nick: *smiles* Welcome.
Joe started leading us to the school and I followed. Him and Jazz were walking next to each other. When we started walking, and I saw her hand sort of twitch... like she wanted to take his hand? But then her arm went up and she held the strap of her school bag.
Receptionist: Hello. The 3 new students?
Joe: Yeah. They need their schedules... and maps.
Receptionist. I have them all right here. *reaches under her desk* Jasmine? *Jazz took the 2 papers* Regina? *I took mine* And Aly. *Aly took hers* If you need any help, feel free to come on down here.
"Thanks." I decided not to mention that we basically had our guides. Of course.. it was basically Jazz and Aly... but I'd live. We walked out and Aly grabbed my schedule.
Aly: Ohhhhhh. We have almost all the same classes Regina!
Nick: *looks over her shoulder* Hey, you've got some of my classes!
"Which ones?" Good. I might be able to get them together.
Nick: *glances at the schedule again* All the majors. And a few of your minors.
Aly That's cool. So... you'll help us to the classes you have with us?
Maybe she wasn't as blind as I originally thought....
Nick: Of course.
I had to hide my giggles. It was a pretty close call this time though.
-End Regina's POV-

-Jayme's POV-
My mom drove me in and I hated it because it meant I wouldn't see Nick before school. And to top it all off, I was late. I rushed into homeroom and stammered an excuse to Mr. Burner. I just sat quietly for 15 minutes. The bell rang and I jumped out of my seat. 1st period: History. With Nick. I walked in and glanced at his normal seat and froze. The girl that had attempted to kill me and him at that creepy house was sitting behind him! And so was the one with dark brown hair that had been there! And he was TALKING to them! What is going on?! "Hi Nick."
Nick: *turns to smile at me* Hey Jayme!
"They go to our school?" I didn't even bother trying to be nice. They had been holding KITCHEN KNIVES at me and Nick!
Nick: Yeah. There was a misunderstanding before. We had been right, it was Craig's car. They had thought we were him coming back for them.
Well.... that helps. A little. "Oh."
Nick: *points to the black haired one* That's Regina and this is her twin Aly.
"Twins? You guys don't look that much alike." I can TRY to be friendly. Just so long as they don't pull any knives at me. Or Nick.
Regina: We're fraternal twins.
Aly: *nods*
She seems more shy than Regina...
Regina: You're Jayme right? -I nodded- Cool. Hey... real sorry about the thing yesterday. Craig had really freaked us out. *smiles a little*
"Yeah. I understand" Sort of... "Craig is really something to defend yourself against" The bell rang and I took my seat next to Nick. Ms. James made Regina and Aly stand up and introduce themselves. Regina didn't seem to care, but Aly looked really scared and Regina introduced them both. I felt bad for Aly then. Ms. James wasn't even a good teacher so I already didn't like her. And even after Regina introduced them, she tried to make Aly read some of the book to the class. I raised my hand after the first stammered sentence. I knew how to distract Ms. James.
Ms. James: Yes Jayme?
"I heard over the weekend there was some big thing that happened over in California. I didn't really catch the whole thing, but I wanted to know...." And off she went on a lecture on how us kids didn't spend enough time watching the news. And then explained, in detail, exactly what had happened and how it could be tied to our lesson. By the time she tried to start the reading again, the bell rang.
Aly: Thanks.
"No problem." She seems okay. Alright... I can totally forgive her for the knife thing. I mean... it was Craig. "What have you got next?"
Nick: They have science with us. And they're in the rest of my majors. And a couple minors that you're in too.
"Cool." I led the way to science. I talked to Regina about a lot of stuff. She told me about the problems with her family... and didn't seem bothered by it very much. We walked into our class and Nick and I told the teacher who they were. Mr. Burkley announced that we were switching seats. He got ready to time us and we all got ready. Mr. Burkley did this thing where we had 10 seconds to move to a different part of the room and get seated. If we were outside of it, he would seat us. The 4 of us hurried and I grabbed a seat close by and Regina got the other 1 at the lab table. Aly and Nick got the table in front of us. That meant we would all be lab partners. I turned to Regina to continue our conversation. She was cool. I could tell we were going to be great friends.
