Messy Glow Bun | 4th of July Hairstyles

I was trying to think of a great way to spice up a 4th of July hairdo when I found a really fun hair accessory that literally lights up! They are called Glowby's and I bought them online and we think they are awesome!

This hairstyle can be used for clubbing, dancing, cheer, prom, homecoming, or any holiday! The possibilities are endless!

The hairstyle I used is one of my messy bun tutorials {click the box around the hairstyle in the video to learn how to do it}. Then we simply took a Glowby and threaded it through the messy bun. To take it out, you simply pull on the clip part and the fiber-optic strands just glide right out! Enjoy!

I would not put fiber optics in my daughters hair, it's glass and can really irritate the skin/scalp.

@McGrimmyBlunderPants I thought the same thing when I first found these, but the Glowby's are nothing more than simple plastic strands. Taking a closer look, there is no difference between the strands and a large guage fishing line.

@lalagirl211 we have the same problem... I also have really thick hair and my hair is also long so many hair falls out but you don't have to worry about it coz I think it's because of the shampoo or conditioner that makes our hair fall out...I'm not saying change ur shampoo because it's still gonna be the same..and my hair mostly falls out if it's wet...but anyways if ur'e still worried tell ur mom or something...

@myipodtouchSam I guess you could just use bobby pins down and pin them as if they were fly-aways.

@lalagirl211 It could be something else, too. The same thing happened to me in September & I've lost more than half of my hair. I've found a way to stop it though. Quit smoking, herbal shampoo, apply henna and senna every 2 weeks, apply vitamins a,e, and b complex :) Henna does wonders to the hair! The Biting Nettle is also great. I use its shampoo and not only does it smell wonderful, but it has really strengthened my hair :)

i have thick hair and everytime i comb and shampoo my hair there's too much hair falling out and im scared cuz maybe i have u know!!...does radiation can cause you hair to fall a lot??..cuz i use computer....12 hrs a day
