The total knee endoprothesis is a total knee replacement . Bicondylar endoprothesies are most often inserted and can be with or without cement. They are composed of three parts:
Femoral component for femur made of highly polished and durable metal alloy of cobalt and chromium,
Tibial component for the knee made of highly durable metal alloy of cobalt and chromium, Tibial pad or an insert between the two components made of polymers of GVF polyethilen with high resistance of loading and totally reduced risk of fatigue of material.
