  • It's a travesty how you guys are so apathetic to poverty in your country, especially when you are the richest country in the world. Why shouldn't the poor be entitled to a decent level of health care. How can any of you call yourself 'Christians' what would Christ say.

  • @spinnikerca FLASH BACK to some BS assumptions about what healthcare reform would look like.

  • did that retarded doctor just say medicare never interferes with health care?? where the hell has he been? i know of an elderly woman who DIED in the hospital simply because medicare wont allow treatment without diagnosis. she couldn't receive a simple treatment for fever (like antipyretics) because they couldn't find the causative agent. your move doctor douche.

  • If you are a big government you provide social services such as universal or single payer health care. If you are a small government you don't but then you stay out of everyone's business like how they medicate themselves(smoke the herb guys!) and who they marry.

So republicans start supporting ron paul or stfu you can't complain. You can't have it both ways lol.

  • I say no to govt healthcare.. but I would be one of the poor folks that benefit.

  • What can you say. Elitism will make 2 out of 3 smart people say and do some really stupid things.

  • Yes, kids are covered up to $80,000 annual parental income and those with low income are covered under medicaid. Obamacare would require300 million people, 90% of whom are already insured, to purchase govt designed health insurance they don't want. It does improve access for about 5%, however, the rest of this is just a power grab. We could just address the few that fall through the cracks of safety net programs.

  • A general question: So if there is a single mother who is not working (due to some reason). Is there health care available for her and her children ? Assuming that she can not pay (200-300 USD/month) in health insurance.
