Zionism is not a one and only philisophy. Herzl`s philosophy maybe is contra torah. But G-d and moses was also zionists in a way if you think about it. And you can also say that zionism is as old as 586 BCE starting with the babylonian exile or you could say that its 2000 year old starting from the expulsion from judea.
