Yamaha VMax will outlast any Ducati!

I bet neither of those bikes get many miles to the gallon.

@camcoop25 Maybe from your point of view he's hardly smoking him, but the V Max's take off was a dog's breakfast, and it beat the Ducati anyways. If you want to talk racetrack, I'll put my TZ250 against that Ducati anyday! Long live Yamaha

Thats great. Now how does it stack up against the B-King?
-
..it's the rider.. not the bike:).
-
the max lit up first gear hard and still won

Hard to believe the bikes are that identical in quarter mile times but that's just one run with one set of riders, right? The Diavel is probably more of an all 'round performer than the quicker VMax maybe? Both bikes are kind of hard on the eyes IMO. Just kind of clumsy-looking compared to a streetfighter or sportbike style but I guess they are not so bad to ride.

@pcracer2 imagine if the vmax hooked up right away. How bad would it have beat it then?

I don't partake into the fanboy world; I, unfortunately have to put up with enough of it from the Canon-Nikon, and Mac-Windows supporters that look down on anything outside of their choices. A victory is a victory no matter by how much, so congrats to the Vmax on THIS RACE. Which is the better bike is a matter of preference, but not only that. Doing more with less is also a factor. I will always recognize the Vmax, but I will stick with the Ducati.

A tenth of a second is hardly "smoking" him... That is so close that the rider wouldn't be able to tell the difference, and riding experience it what it is all about. They are both brain-meltingly fast. And if you put them on a track with curves, then you'd see some "smoking" as the Ducati left the V-Max eating its dust. Both great ground-breaking bikes, take your pick based on what suits you... But crowing over a hair's breadth victory on a dragstrip is just silly.
