A few childhood memories - all involving a strip club. Also, sorta mucking around with youtube. I know the compression's got issues - this is sort of a "let's learn this crap" video.

  • Wait a second. I lived in Arlington for 18 years and I don't remember any downtown ever existing. Baby Dolls, yes; but no downtown. This sounds like a fairy tale.

  • I grew up in Bedford. To us, "Arlington" was "downtown."

  • With all the expertise of an interested dilettante, I have to say that this is a quite good debut video.

I like the format and - naturally, as a longtime Something Positive reader - style. Your vocal delivery is nice, too, although your pacing could possibly use a bit of work. It will probably fix itself once the awkwardness of trying out something new like this fades, I suspect.

  • Thank you, kindly. Yeah - the pacing was a bit of an embarrassment on this video. Hopefully the next one will turn out better. Also, I think I need a nicer mic.

  • I'm somewhat amused that a Youtube suggestion after watching this is "The Alphabet Song." ...Uh.

  • Yep. I drove by it on friday. It's on industrial.

  • Yep, it's still there. On industrial. And at 5 pm on a friday it looked like there were no parking spaces.

  • Just curious but is this that same sister that your mom made you call a "story-telling brat" in that one strip a while back?

  • There's a Baby Dolls in Topeka, KS. As a kid, my mother collected dolls, so every time we drove by, I told her we should stop and look. My mother was too embarrassed to correct me for a good 5 years.

  • Halls of Candy and money cakes, best stuff ever.

  • Your family is awesome.

  • Great punchline, Randy. It did seem like a lot of build up for it though.

  • Great work Randy... brings back great memories from Bedford.

  • +1FP, Randy Milholland.
