The only problem is tissue paper is flammable and if it runs into anything it'll go into flames possibly. Its good to use a flame retardant bio degradable material.

@JoesEpicAdventures yes that is very  true but the design of the lantern dose not catch fire we use a design off the

internet called gore tweaked a bit to allow for space not to use flame retardant chemicals. as for air the base is 12inches across to allow air flow in and the burner to heat the air inside. the biggest lantern we have made is 6ft tall and 2ft wide

@maxxspin thank you. thay are easy to make we made ours out of tissue paper from hobbycraft. and the wick is made from an old kitchen cloth dipped in wax if you want more info just pm me and i will be more than happy to help with any questions
