Brock discusses the effect certain foods have on the pH levels of our body.
Foods such as raw nuts, cold-pressed oils, and green veggies help our body to become alkaline, while foods such as processed foods, animal proteins, and refined sugars cause an acidic state, leading to illness and disease.

  • @BBoughton Herbal teas kick butt! We enjoy a cup of herbal tea after a glass of water with lemon or cucumber in the morning. Also, a cup of green, white, yerba, and kukicha teas are great for transitioning.

  • is there a difference in men and women? for example, a woman's private area is acid. while a man's is alkaline. knowing that would a woman need more or less alkaline in her body then a man?

  • @blackdiamond61105 Great question. The simplest and most accurate way to read your ph, if you're concerned, is to test your urine using litmus paper strips. Keep in mind, the ph of urine varies depending on what you eat and when. The best time to test is your 2nd pee of the day, before meals, or 2 hours or more after eating. Also, to see where you fall, test a few times a day for a week or more. Marta

  • @blackdiamond61105 Try this self care tip: 1-2 cups of apple cider vinegar in a warm bath can help restore the ph in your vagina - helps combat bad bacteria, fungal growth, etc. Marta

  • Ok so I want to do the whole alkaline diet thing as I think in becoming diabetic. One more problem here is I have also been recently diagnosed as factor 5 positive. factor 5 is a genitic disorder that makes my blood clot. The primary thing that makes your blood clot is Vitamin K. Typically if it's green... went through the process of photosynthisis its High in K. my doctor have told me to stay away from greens. Am I just totally screwed in life, or is there a back door on this one?

  • Hi Brock. I am new to your videos. Could you please address the issue of fermented foods and drinks such as kimchi, sauerkraut, water kefir and Kombucha? I have become very interested in those foods lately. I know that they are acidic but they are reported to cause alkalinity in the body. Could you please share your thoughts?

  • Also, exercising actually causes acid to be released from the muscles during workouts, more so in intense workouts & power-bar lifting, dum-bells, etc. thanks for the food video! Nicely done! Happy Holidays!

  • In MY case: Black coffee: no problem. Coffee with milk and sugar: Burning! Raw tomatoe: no problem. Tomatoe sauce: burning!

  • Coffee is my number one, hemp seeds hemp oil and hemp protein are my fav akaline I put it in salads, my smoothies. And my rottie will not touch her food with out hemp oil

  • @fitfortwotv i know about the acv. i was just using that as an example to show how woman are more acid in the body then men. thats why i had the question if they need a different amount. but thinks about the strips. ill try that
